The new Data Train training program organized by the U Bremen Research Alliance starts in January 2024 and is now open for registration. Data Train is a cross-disciplinary graduate training program and a core element of the NFDI4Health training approach.
The DataSHIELD conference will take place from in Groningen from 11 to 13 October 2023. DataSHIELD is an open-source software for secure analysis of biomedical and health science data. At the conference, developers, users and interested parties will meet to discuss the status quo and new potential applications of the software.
NFDI4Health nahm mit etwa 15 Mitgliedern an der Jahrestagung der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Medizinische Informatik, Biometrie und Epidemiologie (GMDS) teil. Zum 68. Mal tage die Fachgesellschaft mit rund 800 Besucher:innen vom 17. bis 21. September 2023 in Heilbronn. Die Fachtagung bot eine Austauschplattform für Forschende aus medizin-informatischen, biometrischen und epidemiologischen Fachbereichen. Das Programm reichte von medizinischen Fortbildungen über eine Summer School für Nachwuchsforschende bis hin zu interdisziplinären Fachvorträgen.

NFDI4Health is organizing the symposium "Participatory research and citizen science: NFDI4Health projects introduce themselves" on 4 October 2023 from 16:45 to 18:15.
"Epidemiology in Transition - Innovations and Challenges" is the motto of the 18th Annual Meeting of the German Society for Epidemiology (DGEpi). The event will take place in Würzburg from the 26th till 28th of September 2023.
"Science. Close to the people" is the motto of this year's annual conference of the German Society for Medical Informatics, Biometry and Epidemiology. NFDI4Health uses this opportunity to make our latest methods and developments visible to the broad professional audience while actively shaping current public discussions.

The key to using these data treasures is an effective infrastructure. With the first edition of the Conference on Research Data Infrastructure from 12 to 14 September 2023, the Association German National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI) is initiating a conference that will focus on establishing interdisciplinary research data management (RDM).
On June 26 and 27, a cross-national exchange on current concepts, methods and tools of clinical research data in the European context took place in Berlin.
