The NFDI4Health initiative makes research data from health research more findable, accessible, and reusable. It connects researchers and stakeholders in the healthcare sector to share data in accordance with data protection regulations and ethical principles, and to create new opportunities for data analysis.

To achieve this, NFDI4Health pursues five main objectives:

1. Further expansion and optimisation of our infrastructures and services for FAIR health data
2. Ensuring the sustainability, interoperability, and quality of our offerings
3. Promoting a cultural shift towards FAIR data sharing in the health sector
4. Involving a broad community and the general public
5. Fostering the implementation of the European Health Data Space

• Comprehensive coverage of epidemiological and clinical studies, as well as public health research, with high data quality in Germany
• Strong involvement of the user community in the development of NFDI4Health
• Many years of experience in research data management and FAIR training
• High data protection standards
• A transdisciplinary team comprising clinicians, epidemiologists, legal experts, computer scientists, nutritionists, and statisticians
• Integration into a broad network of national and international initiatives
