In Task Area 2, the focus is on engaging the user community and facilitating knowledge exchange with professional societies and stakeholders from the fields of medicine, epidemiology, and public health. The work area, with significant support from Data Stewards, provides central advisory, support, and training services for researchers. This includes the Helpdesk (a central point of contact for all inquiries), the Toolbox (provision and maintenance of services), and FAIR Training (training concepts for providing FAIR research data). In this way, the community can be equipped with data competencies, and a long-term cultural shift towards FAIR health data can be promoted. Task Area 2 also coordinates the User Advisory Board and enables direct and continuous exchange through the organisation of conferences, workshops, and webinars. By initiating practical projects ("Marketplace of Ideas"), the NFDI4Health FAIR Services are put into practical use, and potential barriers are identified.
