The community of the NUM Study Network, its specialist networks and partners came together on 14 and 15 September 2026 for the NUM General Assembly 2026 in Frankfurt am Main. The event focused on exchange, networking and the shared question of how digital infrastructures and innovative solutions can provide even better support for clinical research in the future.
NFDI4Health took part in a session exploring how digital support can help simplify processes in clinical studies and make information more readily accessible. In a flash talk, Johannes Darms introduced the Health Study Hub, a search portal providing access to more than 56,000 health studies and other resources. Juliane Fluck subsequently took part in the panel discussion as an invited speaker. The discussion centred on what digital support is already available to study physicians today – and how tools and infrastructures can become even better integrated in the future.
The conclusion: For clinical studies to benefit sustainably from digital solutions, it takes more than individual tools. Above all, it requires well-integrated infrastructures and reliable data.
