The NFDI4Health Steering Committee assembled for a meeting in Bremen on 6 and 7 May 2024, uniting the leaders from the 6 task areas. Central to the discussions of the first day were the reports of a successful half-year of 2023/2024. The members looked back on the preceding months and underscored milestones reached and milestones that still need to be achieved.
Looking ahead, the committee then articulated strategic goals for the final stretch of the 1st application phase. One focus was the aspect of enhancing communication and exchange with the NFDI4Health community. Recognizing the vital role of stakeholders in shaping the initiative's direction, they explored targeted outreach, including workshops, webinars, surveys and interactive platforms.
On the second day, attention turned towards planning the second application phase. Reflecting on lessons learned and insights gained, the NFDI4Health Steering Committee set the future course for advancing the infrastructure for FAIR health research data in Germany.
