From 17 to 18 January 2024 the Netzwerk Universitätsmedizin (NUM) organized the first NUM Convention 2024 in Berlin. The NUM was created during the pandemic in April 2020 as a federally funded cooperation project of the 36 University Medical Centers for COVID-19 research in Germany. Now a community from politics, medicine and science came together to discuss the further development of the network and the role of other efficient stakeholders in this field. Juliane Fluck from NFDI4Health was invited to give a flashtalk in the Grand Challenge 3 on the topic “Current challenges for clinical and clinical epidemiological studies in Germany and the role of national networks”. She presented NFDI4Health as an important support structure and demonstrated our services for FAIR sharing of health data. She received excellent reinforcement by our NFDI4Health members Toralf Kirsten, Fabian Prasser, Sophie Klopfenstein, Juliane Gehrke and Sebastian Klammt.
