Researchers in biomedicine and health need to manage research data effectively and make well-informed decisions. In cooperation with NFDI4Health, the U Bremen Research Alliance offers a modular training programme based on the FAIR principles, providing education in research data management and data science. The Data Train programme strengthens data literacy and promotes interdisciplinary exchange between institutions. The free introductory course delivers both foundational and more advanced knowledge in data literacy, research data management and data science. Upon completion of the respective track, all participants receive a Certificate of Participation.

Data Train Advanced
The interdisciplinary training programme in research data management and data science, Data Train, is currently reaching a new level. From 2026 onwards, the programme will be offered as Data Train Advanced in cooperation with the Academy for Continuing Education at the University of Bremen and will provide a new, higher-level qualification: the Certificate of Advanced Studies. This fee-based certificate represents an important milestone in researchers’ careers and is of particular value in the context of the shortage of professionals with data competencies.
